Who we are.

Our mission at BonLeven Healthcare is to provide patient-centered care to individuals with neurological disorders and their families and caretakers. By offering the latest in evidence-based testing and treatments, we hope to impact the greater northern NJ community with cutting-edge care for headaches, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, dementia, Parkinson's disease, neck, and back pain as well as a variety of other neurologic conditions.

We are proud to offer care in English, Spanish, Hindi, Gujarati, Russian, and Arabic.

 
Nilay Shah, MD, FAAN

Dr. Nilay Shah

Medical Director

Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Dr. Shah earned his Bachelor’s of Science from Cornell University, followed by a Doctorate of Medicine from St. George’s University in Grenada. He went on to complete a residency in Neurology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City, followed by a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Pittsburgh - Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Shah enjoys the challenge of neurologic medicine, as well as the latest in technology and computer science. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, travel, family and friends.

Dr. Yaldar Taher completed his medical school education and residency in Sports Medicine in Moscow-Russia. He completed his Doctorate in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in New York. He currently operates a private practice in New Jersey.

Born in Peru, Bea moved to the United States at the age of 10. After graduating from Harrison Career Institute as a medical assistant, she went on to earn an associate’s degree in the science of nursing at Bergen Community College. She has worked in the medical field for more than 10 years. Bea spends her spare time serving her community through charitable events and enjoys the beach with her family.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Lorraine was raised in New Jersey and the Dominican Republic. She studied at Lincoln Technical Institute to be a medical assistant and phlebotomist and has been in the medical field for over 7 years. She is a mother of two amazing children and enjoys bowling and billiards in her spare time. Lorraine is also building a body sculpting business and and soon to be launched women's clothing line.
